XLI Turns 40

Colleen Casey
This August, the Xaverian Leadership Insitute (XLI) turned 40.
One of Xaverian's proudest traditions, the five-day servant leadership retreat for seniors began on Monday, August 1 at Stonehill College.

XLI is grounded in the Roman Catholic tradition and rooted in the mission statement of the Xaverian Brothers Sponsored Schools. XLI seeks to facilitate personal and communal reflection on the students’ primary relationships with God, self and others. As a leadership institute, we challenge and empower students within their faith tradition to become servant leaders for the Xaverian community and the Church. Through formal presentations, experiential exercises, small group discussions and prayer experiences, students will be empowered to serve others as they discover their God given gifts and talents.

Xaverian is a Catholic, college-preparatory school for boys in grades 7-12. As an inclusive community, we embrace diverse experiences and perspectives, welcoming students and families from all faiths and backgrounds. Through exceptional academics, athletics, the arts, faith formation, and service opportunities, we help young men discover their unique gifts and talents so they can share them with a world in need.
