Brother Raymond Hoyt, C.F.X., is a 1970 graduate of Xaverian and a veteran teacher and administrator. He returned to Xaverian in 2003 after serving as principal of Saint Xavier High School in Louisville, Kentucky.

From 1992 – 2001 Brother Ray was the Assistant Principal for Academics at Xaverian Brothers High School. He was responsible for curriculum development, supervision, and evaluation of faculty and the overall academic life of the students in this position.

Prior to Xaverian, Brother Ray served for two years as the Principal of Holy Trinity School in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Beginning in 1981, Brother Ray held a variety of educational positions in nine years of service at Xavier High School in Middletown, Connecticut. Brother Ray was the Director of the Campus Ministry Department, a Guidance Counselor and also taught Theology, French and English.

Brother Ray began his educational ministry in 1975 at St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Brother Ray was an English and French teacher as well as the Head Cross Country Coach and Student Council Moderator.

Brother Ray entered the Xaverian Brothers congregation in 1971. Brother Ray received a Bachelor of Arts in English and Theology from Boston College in 1975 and returned to BC to earn a Master's Degree in English in 1981.
