Keith Crowley was promoted in the 2003-2004 school year to Xaverian’s Assistant Principal for Academics, Grades 11 & 12, after a two year stint as Assistant Principal for Academics, Grade 9, and several years teaching in the science department. In his current role, Dr. Crowley serves as the primary contact for students and parents through their junior and senior years.
Dr. Crowley began teaching biology, chemistry and physiology at Xaverian in the fall of 1997. He became the chairperson of the science department in 1999. He also served as the head varsity indoor and outdoor track and field coach until his appointment as Assistant Principal. He continues to teach a senior elective in human physiology and continues to have a role in track and field coaching staff at Xaverian.
Dr. Crowley received both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he was a member of the track and field team. He completed graduate work in chemistry and science education at Northeastern University, Elm’s College and Fitchburg State College. He received his doctorate in educational administration at the Lynch School of Education at Boston College.
Dr. Crowley began his career in education as a member of the science faculty at Cathedral High School in Springfield, Massachusetts. In addition to teaching, Dr. Crowley is a licensed physical therapist. He has continued his clinical work on a per diem basis in outpatient orthopedics, sportsmedicine, and homecare settings. Dr. Crowley was born and raised in Southington, Connecticut and attended Saint Paul Catholic High School in Bristol, Connecticut. |
