Xaverian juniors and seniors went on a spiritual journey of a lifetime
on Xaverian’s Pilgrimage to Italy. The students
visited the four major basilicas of Rome including Saint Mary Major, St.
John Lateran, St. Peter’s Basilica, and St. Paul’s Outside the Walls.

 Almost 100 Xaverian alumni, students, family, friends and faculty members attended the first ever Xaverian Outreach Day. The day was dedicated to providing service to Camp Harbor View. The group spent the entire day cleaning and painting the camp to get it ready to serve the over 800 11-14 year olds from Boston's most deprived neighborhoods this summer. Photo by Cory Larrubia '13.

Senior Hawk Harrier John Bleday just set a new Xaverian
school record running an incredible 4:10.87 mile. He ran this at the Hartford Public
Schools Meet. He bested Mark Amirault's '06 former school record of 4:13.

 The Senior Gift Committee of Vidur Khatri, Anthony Breen, Eric Gesimondo and Alex Phelan presented Headmaster Brother Daniel Skala with a gift of $20,160 a record amount for a senior class.
 Next years senior school leaders will be (l to r) Harrison Pidgeon, treasurer; Alex Kradin, senator; Cory Hodson, secretary; Andrew Griffin, senator; Peter Nevers, senator; and Brendan Kelly, secretary. Next year's senior class president Alex Cucchi (missing from photo) was already negotiating for his classmates for looser dress codes, a shorter school day and cheaper food prices in the cafeteria.  Captain and goalie Chris Herbert has been a wall for the Hawks this season. Chris will play for the Delaware Blue Hens and lax powerhouse next season.

Ryan Moore sets a new school record and state
powerlifting record. In the 242 lbs. class he squatted 606
lbs.; benched 374 lbs.; deadlift 633 lbs. for a total of 1615 lbs. at
the 2010 Mass High School Power Lifting Championships hosted by
Xaverian. Mr. Rob Bruckner was a force for the Faculty/Staff team. Here he is schooling outside the classroom a senior defender. The money raised in the tournament went to the Hoops for Haiti fund.
 Dr. Craig Almedia from Stonehill College discusses the historical, scientific and ethical issues related to the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV); including why there is no cure for HIV, the effectiveness of available drug treatments, how the drug cocktail works and who has access to such treatments.
 The New Repertory Theater of Watertown treated students to a modern adaptation of Macbeth. the adaptation featured full Shakespearean dialogue, a simple set design and an amazing small cast that left students and faculty mesmerized by their performance.

 Vidur Khatri speaks in a packed theater recently admitted 8th graders on Accepted Student Night A-M. Tonight will be the second night (N-Z). Vidur told the Class of 2014 that his decision to attend Xaverian was the best decision he could have made.

 Hawk Squad erupts after a thrilling 21-14 over Brockton to send Xaverian to the Division 1 Superbowl at Gillette.
 Freshman basketball tryouts started Monday. New Varsity Coach Dan Salazar will have the challenge of figuring out which frosh can play.
 Captain Cam Colwell '10 takes down Prep running back to help his team go 11-0 on Thanksgiving Day. This is the first team to go 11-0 in the regular season.
 Alec Dubois '12 captured an amazing photo of an X right before the Hawks scored against Catholic Memorial. The Hawks won their amazing 10th win in a row to go 10-0. Their chance to break a school record and go 11-0 will be against St. John's Prep on Thanksgiving in Danvers. Also up for grabs will be a Catholic Conference title and playoff birth.

 The Science Club celebrated Mole Day. A mole 6.02 x 10 23 is the most famous number used in Chemistry Class. John Hickey ’12 here plays Pin the Tail on the Mole.  Over 300 prospective students and parents attended Xaverian's first ever Open House for Xaverian's Partnership schools. 7th and 8th grade students from St. Catherine's of Siena, Norwood, Blessed Sacrament, St. John the Evangelsit, Canton, Monsignor Haddad Middle School, Needham and St. Paul School, Wellesley toured Xaverian and met with faculty, students, parents and alumni to learn more about Xaverian. The general Xaverian Open House will take place Sunday 10 am -1 pm.
