The XBHS Technology Department supports the Xaverian mission by providing varied technology resources to support all educational and administrative programs developing Christian faith and life-long learners. There are four fundamental themes that guide the department’s activities:
Customer service – Members of the technology department create an atmosphere of support where all faculty, staff and students experience respect and zeal while we provide high quality service to maintain a humming network full of servers, client workstations, and peripherals. XBHS provides a minumum 1G wired and 802.11 a/g/n wireless network to all classrooms with a 8M download and 3M upload to the Internet.
Technological innovation and leadership – generating the ideas and establishing relationships within the community that will provide XBHS with advanced technology integration for future generations. Xaverian is equipped with eight teaching computer labs designated for Computer Science, Modern Language, Science, Music and Art Center. Room 244 is an open computer lab available for teachers to reserve. Student research and study is enhanced with a library and computer room open for student use throughout the day. Faculty members are issued laptops, and administrative staff members have computer workstations; both systems are fully loaded with the applications necessary for optimal professional use.
