Xaverian Brothers High School has a well-equipped counseling center and a variety of programs to provide students and families with information on colleges, financial aid, and adolescent development. It is the department’s desire to provide as much information as possible to help students make informed decisions.
The following resources are available to students:
- Mini College Fairs
Two mini college fairs are held each fall for juniors and seniors. Forty college representatives attend each fair and are available to speak with students. In addition to these mini-college fairs, individual colleges often come to Xaverian to meet with interested students.
- Guidance Secretary’s Office
The guidance secretary maintains the following lists on EdLine: scholarships, summer programs, and college acceptances. Her office also contains registration materials for the SAT and ACT exams.
- Guidance Counselors
The most important resource is the student’s guidance counselor. He or she has a wealth of experience in counseling on personal, academic, career, and college issues. Families are encouraged to use them when questions or concerns arise.
