Parent Speaker Series

Location: Xaverian Theater

Xaverian Brothers High School and Ursuline Academy are co-hosting a presentation and open discussion for parents about the dangers of vaping. Join us on Monday, March 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the Xaverian theater.

Vaping, the inhalation of vapor via an electronic cigarette or vaporizer, is becoming increasingly popular among teenagers. That's why the counseling departments at Ursuline Academy and Xaverian joined together to invite Dr. Lester Hartman to address this subject of growing concern.

Dr. Hartman has been practicing at Westwood-Mansfield Pediatric Office since 1986. He is presently a Mass General Hospital researcher collaborating with a Harvard Medical School professor on youth and tobacco use, and advocating to raise the tobacco purchase age to 21 years. Dr. Hartman will be at Xaverian on March 5 to discuss what vaping products look like, how they work, and the health effects. All are welcome to attend this Parent Speakers Series event.

Pre-registration is available online.
