Six Xaverian Brothers High School Seniors Named National Merit Commended Students

Two-thirds of the approximately 50,000 high scorers on the PSAT/NMSQT received this honor.
Xaverian Brothers High School wishes to congratulate six seniors on receiving National Merit® Program commendations. The National Merit® Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. High school students enter the National Merit® Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®)—which serves as an initial screen of approximately 1.6 million entrants each year—and by meeting published program entry and participation requirements.

This month, more than two-thirds of the approximately 50,000 high scorers on the PSAT/NMSQT® received Letters of Commendation in recognition of their outstanding academic promise. Congratulations to the following Xaverian students:

  • Sean Doherty ’20
  • Michael Forozis ’20
  • Benjamin Karasko ’20
  • James Landry ’20
  • John Wheeler ’20
  • Emanuel Wrinkle Garcia ’20
