Steven Koertje ’21 is Record-Breaking Xaverian Swimmer

Congratulations Steven Koertje ’21.

Congratulations to Steven Koertje ’21, Xaverian’s first-ever, six-year diver, for making it into the Hawks’ record books! Steven (who qualified for the state meet all six years, grades 7-12) has set the record for the highest score ever achieved by a Xaverian diver—480.60 at the 2021 state meet (second place finish!), as well as a 279.40 (first place finish!) in the 2021 Catholic Conference. For a little historical data, see the stats to the right. Steven, like all Hawk divers since the 2002-2003 season, was coached by Eastern Massachusetts Swimming and Diving Hall of Famer, Jim Locke. He will attend Villanova University in the fall.
