50th Reunion Marks the Return of Three Classes to Campus

 

On a beautiful summer evening on Friday, May 13, close to 80 members of the Classes of 1970, 1971, and 1972 gathered to celebrate their 50th Reunions (the 50th Reunion for the Classes of 1970 and 1971 having been postponed due to the pandemic). Laughter and cheerful socializing could be heard from the Sarah M. Bisson Foyer and the illuminated Ryken Courtyard (formerly the courtyard of the Brothers’ Residence), as classmates swapped stories and reconnected. Highlights from the evening included a 50th Reunion Mass, presided over by Fr. Hugh Burns, O.P. ’71, and some remarks before dinner from Jerry Kates ’72. At the conclusion of the evening, members of all classes were provided with a special Xaverian swag bag and their 50th Reunion Golden Diplomas. Congratulations, Classes of 1970, 1971, and 1972!
