MARY BETH MARTIN, ESQ. brings more than twenty-five years’ experience helping nonprofit organizations design and build strategic fundraising plans, grow major gifts programs, develop fundraising capacity, and execute capital campaigns and other funding initiatives. Currently, Mary Beth serves as Senior Managing Director at Changing Our World, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in growing the philanthropic efforts of nonprofits throughout the world.
She began her career in fundraising in the planned giving office at Boston College and subsequently spent eight years at Emmanuel College in Boston, Massachusetts where she served as Director of Planned Giving and Associate Vice President for Development and Alumnae Relations.
Since joining Changing Our World, Mary Beth has provided fundraising advice to a variety of nonprofits ranging from universities and social service agencies to organizations focused on national and global health issues. She is co-editor and a major contributor to Mapping the New World of American Philanthropy, published by Wiley and Sons in March 2007. Mary Beth has addressed both national and regional organizations as well as numerous nonprofit boards and development professionals on the topics of planned giving, donor relations and campaign management.
Mary Beth received a B.A. from Boston College and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.
