Are you an educator who enjoys thinking outside the box, learning new skills, and is looking to bring your curriculum to life in a new and exciting way?

In 2020 Xaverian opened and staffed the X-Ploration Center, a multi-disciplinary innovation space for all grade levels. It’s currently one of our busiest areas on campus; last year more than 700 classes and a variety of co-curricular club meetings and events took place here.

We hope you’ll join us for this fun and informative workshop this summer!

During this workshop, you will:
  • Envision and design your own project to complete with students in the upcoming year
  • Learn practical makerspace skills to build confidence by doing, not by being lectured at
  • Explore successful lesson plans Xaverian teachers have executed in our X-Ploration center using the following equipment:
    • Cordless tools
    • Power tools
    • 3D printers
    • Laser cutter
    • Vinyl cutter
    • CNC
    • Digital media / green screen
    • Microcontrollers (Microbit, Arduino)
  • Collaborate with educators across multiple grade levels (7-12) and disciplines
  • Be empowered to find solutions to problems that arise with the help of knowledgeable facilitators
  • Experience the very learning structure you want to actualize for your students
