Xaverian Brothers High School is a Catholic, college-preparatory school for boys in grades 7-12, located in Westwood, Massachusetts, established in 1963, and sponsored by the Xaverian Brothers.

That's a lot! Let's unpack it:

Catholic

We treasure our rich Catholic faith tradition. Faith is the framework with which we empower young men to recognize their God-given gifts and talents, and share them with a world in need. As an inclusive community, we embrace diverse experiences and perspectives, welcoming students and families from all faiths and backgrounds.

College-Preparatory

Our curriculum is designed to be challenging and inspiring, to help young men get into their best-fit college and pursue a career with passion. We like to think we’re about more than college-prep – we provide “life prep.” Not only do students learn calculus and world languages; they learn what it means to be a servant leader.

For Boys

As a school dedicated exclusively to the education of young men, we have a strong handle on how young men learn best, and we utilize that knowledge in every lesson plan and throughout the school day.

Grades 7-12

Grades 7-8 comprise the Francis Xavier Division (FXD) at Xaverian. These students have all of the opportunities of a high school (from sports to clubs and activities), with the added support of a special curriculum that focuses on effective study skills, organization tips, and navigating healthy relationships, in order to help them be successful in high school.

Students in grades 9-12 benefit from a program of studies that supports a broad diversity of interests and fosters curiosity in order to engage each young man as he prepares for college.

Athletic opportunities abound for all grades (including non-cut teams for the FXD), from golf to ice hockey, and ultimate disc to rugby. Plus, extracurricular activities provide exploration in areas such as the arts, sciences, faith formation, service, and leadership for all ages, from grades 7–12.

Located in Westwood, Massachusetts

On a really beautiful 36-acre campus, in fact! Students travel from near and far (from just down the street to an hour+ commute). In the last five years, we have had families from more than 90 different cities and towns.

Established in 1963

For more than five decades, Xaverian has specialized in delivering quality education for young men, grounded in the Xaverian values of humility, trust, simplicity, compassion, and zeal.

Xaverian Brothers

Founded by Theodore James Ryken in Belgium in 1839, the Xaverian Brothers’ legacy of fostering excellence animates our school. Like the Brothers, we are "called to live ordinary lives that give witness to God’s unconditional love."
