Xaverian is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Cerone as the new varsity head basketball coach. As a seasoned coach with a proven track record of success at the high school and collegiate levels, Coach Cerone is joining Xaverian after recently serving as the assistant coach at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School. Previously, he has held the roles of head coach for the men’s basketball team at Mount Ida College and assistant coach for the men's basketball team at UMass Boston. He is also the founder and program director of the South Shore Wildcats AAU program. 

Cerone's appointment marks a new chapter for the Hawks. According to Xaverian’s Athletic Director, Ted Currle, his leadership and dedication are expected to help strengthen Xaverian’s basketball program and build on its previous successes.  

"We are excited to welcome Coach Cerone to the Xaverian community," says Currle. "His extensive experience and commitment to student athlete development align perfectly with our mission to foster excellence both on and off the court."

Coach Cerone will begin his tenure during the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.
