Xaverian’s two Hawk Robotics teams, The Ryken Force and The Ryken Vector-Colliders, attended RoboStorm 10.2, a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics tournament held at Andover High School on January 11. They competed alongside twenty-two other teams from the area, and after a day of intense competition, both teams demonstrated strong effort and determination in their matches.
During the awards ceremony, The Ryken Force (#19460, the team for sophomores, juniors, and seniors) received the FIRST Sustain Award, which recognizes a team that has worked to ensure that its program continues long after current members graduate.
In particular, this award recognizes the enthusiasm and dedication The Ryken Force has shown in training new members of Xaverian Hawk Robotics in CAD and programming, as well as their commitment to mentoring and coaching their younger peers on The Ryken Vector-Colliders (#28066, the team for students in grades 7–9).
