Gerry Lambert Earns MIAA Coach of the Year Award

Congratulations Coach Lambert!

The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) has selected Gerry Lambert as the recipient of the 2025-2026 MIAA Coach of the Year Award for Fall Golf, recognizing his outstanding leadership and contributions to high school athletics.

The MIAA Coach of the Year award recognizes coaches whose commitment to their student athletes extends beyond competition and reflects the values of leadership, sportsmanship, teamwork, and excellence. Lambert's selection highlights the positive impact he has made on his golfers and his program throughout the 2025-2026 season.

The honor comes following a remarkable 2025 season for the Xaverian Brothers High School varsity golf team, which Lambert guided to a perfect 16-0 record. The team captured the Catholic Conference championship, the Division 1 South Sectional championship, and the MIAA Division 1 State Championship. The sectional title marked Xaverian's fifth in six years, while the state championship was the program's sixth overall. Xaverian also finished second at the Cape Cod National Championships, capping one of the most successful seasons in the program's history.

“We are extremely proud of Gerry and this well deserved recognition,” said Ted Currle P ’32, Xaverian Athletic Director, “Gerry has built a tremendous golf program through his leadership, and genuine commitment to his team. This award is a fitting recognition of the excellence and lasting impact Gerry brings to Xaverian athletics.”

With a strong group of returning players and continued leadership from Lambert, the Hawks have carried their momentum into the 2026 season.
