Five Seniors Named National Merit Commended Students
A worthy honor for five exceptional seniors!
Five members of Xaverian’s Class of 2027 are being recognized for their outstanding academic performance as National Merit Commended Students.
Walter Dittel Mora, William Schramm, Aryan Sharma, Zachary Strickland, and Jack Weintraub each received Letters of Commendation through the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program. The students earned the distinction based on their strong performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
The National Merit Scholarship Program recognizes students across the country for their exceptional academic promise. Out of more than 1.5 million students nationwide, approximately 50,000 are named Commended Students. For the five seniors, the recognition is a reflection of the dedication and perseverance they have demonstrated throughout their time at Xaverian.
“We are incredibly proud to recognize our Commended Students in the National Merit Scholarship Program,” said Principal Dr. Michael Nicholson, P ’29 (Norfolk). “This distinction reflects their dedication to their academic achievements and the perseverance it took to get there. Their commitment to excellence not only sets them apart as scholars, but also serves as an inspiring example for their classmates and the entire Xaverian community.”
Congratulations to our students on this well-deserved honor!
