Xaverian teachers serve as much more than teachers; they are mentors - deep listeners and keen observers who get to know and appreciate each student.

As any explorer will tell you, having an experienced guide will dramatically increase one’s chances of success. Xaverian teachers, of which more than 95% have advanced degrees, help students see the obstacles as well as the opportunities ahead, advising them on the best course based on their unique abilities. And Xaverian teachers genuinely know where the students are coming from because many of them were once Xaverian students themselves.

Bio

Mr. Timothy Roberts joined the Xaverian faculty in the 2018-2019 school year. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from the New England Conservatory and a Master of Music in Cello Performance from Northwestern University. Prior to Xaverian, Mr. Roberts taught at the Allegro Music School in Natick and the Winchester Music School. Additionally, he has served as a private cello teacher in area public schools, including Needham, Arlington, and Hingham. As a professional cellist, Mr. Roberts has performed with top musical ensembles such as the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, the Boston Ballet Orchestra, and the Portland Symphony.

Bio

Mr. Christopher Roche joined the Xaverian faculty in the 2021-2022 school year. Prior to Xaverian, Mr. Roche taught for 10 years at St. Mark’s School in Southborough and before that at Saint Ann's School in Brooklyn, NY. He has a B.A. in computer science from Dartmouth College, a B.F.A. from the Rhode Island School of Design, and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Roche serves as moderator for Xaverian’s FIRST robotics team.

Bio

Mrs. Meghan Russell, P ’28 joined Xaverian’s advancement team this year as the Event Coordinator. She has a B.A. in Geology from Amherst College and an MBA from Boston College.
