    Bio
     
    Mr. John Tassinari joined the Xaverian faculty in the 2009-2010 school year. Mr. Tassinari received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science with a concentration in physics from UMass Dartmouth. After receiving his master’s degree, Mr. Tassinari served as a Ph.D. research candidate in astrophysics at Clemson University via the Kitt Peak Observatory in Arizona, focusing on gamma ray burst theory. Mr. Tassinari also serves as a science club and chess team moderator, and is a coach for FXD baseball.

    Bio
     
    Dr. Robert Thorp joined the Xaverian faculty in 2018-2019 school year. Dr. Thorp has performed at Tanglewood, Ravinia, Chautauqua, Bethlehem, and Boston Early Music festivals. He has presented numerous master classes including at Tokyo Conservatory, Osaka Conservatory Nagoya Conservatory, Manhattan School, Rice, Northwestern, San Francisco Conservatory, University of North Texas, and Mannes College. In addition to teaching at Xaverian, Dr. Thorp also teaches at Salem State University, Bunker Hill Community College, and Gordon College. Dr. Thorp studied under Chris Gekker, Rolf Smedvig, and Terry Everson, and holds a B.A. from the Boston Conservatory of Music, a M.M. from the University of Maryland, and a D.M.A. from Boston University. He can be heard on recordings on the Paraclete and RAI labels.

    Bio
     
    Mr. Daniel Tucker, P ’21, P ’23, joined  Xaverian as a Theology Teacher in the 2004-2005 school year. Previously, he taught English and Theology and served as the debate coach at Bishop Stang High School in North Dartmouth. Mr. Tucker has also taught in the Diocese of Fall River Permanent Diaconate Program. Mr.Tucker earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology from UMass-Amherst in 1994. In 1999, Mr. Tucker graduated cum laude in the Master’s of Divinity Program from Andover Newton Theological School in Newton.  In 2017 he earned a Graduate Certificate in Digital Literacy from the University of Rhode Island School of Education and the Harrington School of Communication and Media. He is currently enrolled in the Master of Library and Information Science program at the University of Missouri, Columbia.  He was appointed library director at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year. Mr. Tucker serves as a Speech and Debate coach.
