String quartets, jazz band jam sessions, and a gallery of student artwork were all features during Fine Arts Week at Xaverian.

This week was Fine Arts Week at Xaverian, and while COVID-19 certainly changes things, the community was still able to enjoy a week of music, visual art, and a celebration of our theater program. From jazz band sessions, art demonstrations, and a gallery-style display of student artwork, to incredible daily performances by the Copley Chamber Players (including our own Mr. Timothy Roberts!), the school was alive with excitement for the fine and performing arts.

On a special note, Joe Fraone '21 had the opportunity to hear one of his musical arrangements performed live by a quartet of professional musicians. This morning, the Copley Chamber Players performed his arrangement of Aus Meines Herzens Grunde by Johannes Sebastian Bach. With faculty, staff, and students as an audience, and Joe joining live via Zoom (a sign of the times to be sure!), his arrangement came to life for all to hear. You can see photos of some of the student artwork shared this week, photos from past theater productions, and a video of the performance of Joe's arrangement by clicking here.
