After a memorable and incredible season, the Xaverian Speech and Debate Team attended the 2022-2023 Season State Finals at Chelmsford High School last Saturday, April 1. Team captain, Rishu Nevatia ’23, made it to the final round and scored 5th place in the tournament for Impromptu Speaking. Next, Bren Cueco ’23 received an Honorable Mention in Play Reading and took 2nd place in his first and third rounds. Jon Lyder ’25 won Top Novice in Impromptu Speaking. Aadi Aggarwal ’25 took 1st place in his first round of Group Discussion. Tyler Holloway ’25 placed 2nd in his third round in Impromptu Speaking. Krish Dhingra ’25 and Ishwar Ravi ’24 took 3rd place in their second rounds in Impromptu Speaking. Finally, the team came in 4th place in the Limited Prep Events sweepstakes. Congratulations to our State Finals Debate Team, and here’s to another successful year!
