XAVERIAN’S NEW 360° VIRTUAL TOUR REINVENTS THE CAMPUS VISIT
Now you can visit 800 Clapboardtree Street from the comfort of your own home.
There is no doubt that this admissions season has presented new challenges to applicants, their families, and schools themselves. The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a massive shakeup of traditional routines like campus tours, open houses, and Xaverian’s Hawk for a Day student visits. To address these challenges, Xaverian pivoted quickly and invested in new technologies designed to reach prospective students and families in meaningful ways. Thanks to the leadership of our administration, and the tireless efforts of our admissions staff, prospective families have the opportunity to authentically experience the 36-acre campus and welcoming community virtually.
Director of Admissions, Kevin Loftus ’05, explained this new focus on a shift to virtual admissions work: “We know that prospective students are eager to explore the Xaverian campus. We're very excited to provide a way for families to visit some of our most popular tour stops, all from the comfort of their own home.” The centerpiece to this new digital transformation is the 360° virtual tour. This interactive feature allows families to view the school as if they were standing in the rooms themselves. Fifteen tour stops, each accompanied by descriptions about the locations and their uses and high resolution images, provide a snapshot of what sets Xaverian apart from other schools. The tour is easy to navigate and is always live so that it can be taken by families whenever they wish.
For a more personal look around the halls, Xaverian is also proud to offer virtual guided tours. The same 15 tour stops are featured but come with the expert knowledge of a student tour guide. Student-led virtual tours are offered live through Zoom video conferencing, and admissions staff will be present to meet student and parent attendees when they log in. Offered on Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m., prospective families can sign up to attend by using this form.
Finally, both open houses will be hosted virtually this year, and are still the best way to meet members of our community, learn about our programs, and explore campus. This year, you can join us for a one-hour program highlighting our unique approach to all-boys education, athletics, arts, community service, and more. Registration can be completed for either event by using the following links. Middle School Open House will take place on Thursday, November 5 from 6:00 - 7:00 P.M. with the High School Open House following on Thursday, November 12 from 6:00 - 7:00 P.M.
