FXD Sports Update 3-19-21

This past Saturday, the FXD football team traveled to St. John’s Prep for their first competition of the season. This was a controlled scrimmage. Both teams were evenly matched in the game and our team and coaches gained valuable game experience. They continue to work hard each day at practice and look forward to their Catholic Conference games in the coming weeks.

The track team was scheduled to travel to Saint John’s High School in Shrewsbury tomorrow, but due to the cold temperatures, this meet will be moved to Monday, March 22 at 3:30 p.m.

We ask that spectators continue to follow the protocols that the Catholic Conference and Xaverian have put in place for home and away events. Two spectators will be admitted for each student athlete who is participating that day. You will need to check in at each game with your lanyard. We ask that you fill out the COVID safety app each time you come to the games as well. As always, please wear a mask at all times and continue to social distance. Home events are being live streamed and can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/xaverianhawks

Spring sports registrations will open on Monday, March 29. Students should be on the lookout for that form in the portal. If your son wants to participate in baseball, lacrosse, track and field, volleyball, tennis, ultimate disc, rugby, or wrestling - please remind him to sign up. He needs to have an updated physical form on file with the nurses’ office and an updated concussion form handed in to the coach. More information will be shared regarding the spring season in the coming weeks.
