Welcome to Xaverian!

There are some new faces on campus this year and we'd like to introduce you. A very warm welcome to our new faculty and staff!


Mike Vitelli ’92 - Assistant Principal for Student Life
With Mr. Dacey transitioning to the new position of assistant principal for teaching and learning, and Mr. Vasta taking over as the assistant principal for academics, grades 9 - 12, that left an opening in the Office of Student Life. Xaverian alumnus, Michael Vitelli ’92, has stepped into the role as assistant principal for student life. In this capacity, he oversees all aspects of student well-being, including student discipline, student activities, transportation, work study, and many other areas of student engagement.

Prior to returning to Xaverian as an administrator, Mr. Vitelli served as Assistant Principal at Norton Middle School, and as a teacher in Norton High School and Robert J. Coehlo Middle School. Mr. Vitelli has a bachelor of liberal arts from Stonehill College and a master's degree in organizational management with an administration license from Endicott College.

Mr. Vitelli has coached lacrosse at both King Phillip Regional High School and North Attleboro High School.

Mark Hevert ’06 - English
Mr. Hevert holds a bachelor of arts in English and Philosophy from Northeastern University, a master of arts in English language and literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a master of arts in teaching from Simmons College. Mr. Hevert is an alumnus of Xaverian Brothers High School, Class of 2006. For the last three years, Mr. Hevert has taught English at City on a Hill Public Charter School in Roxbury.

Jacob Steiss - English
Mr. Steiss holds a bachelor of arts in English and social science from Fordham University, and a masters of education from the University of Notre Dame, Alliance for Catholic Education. Mr. Steiss most recently served as a teacher at the Cantwell Sacred Heart of Mary High School in California.

Danielle D’Ambra - Science
Ms. D’Ambra holds a bachelor of arts in psychology from Boston College, and a masters of arts in teaching from Simmons College. For the last five years, she has served as a high school science, health, and math teacher at City on a Hill Public Charter School in Roxbury.

Jacqueline Salas - Science
Ms. Salas holds a bachelor of arts in chemistry and international relations from Regis College and a masters of education from the University of Notre Dame, Alliance for Catholic Education. For the last two years she has served as a math and science teacher at St. John the Evangelist Catholic School in Georgia.

Cory Hodson ’11 - Theology
Mr. Hodson holds a bachelor of arts in global studies and writing from Loyola University Maryland, and a masters of arts in religion and ethics from Yale Divinity School. Most recently, he served as a teaching fellow at Saint Martin de Porres Academy in  New Haven. Mr. Hodson is an alumnus of Xaverian Brothers High School, Class of 2011. He has participated on Xaverian’s Alumni Board of Directors and volunteered as co-chair of his class reunion committee.

Gregory Daigle - Music
Mr. Daigle holds a bachelor of music education with a focus on vocal performance from the University of New Hampshire. He has K-12 teaching experience from Wampatuck Elementary School in Scituate, Scituate High School, and Marshfield High School, and has served as Silver Lake Regional High School’s acapella director and as show choir vocal coach at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School.

Maeve Lien - Music
Ms. Lien holds a bachelor of science in secondary instrumental education from University of Mary, and a masters of music in classical saxophone performance from New England Conservatory of Music. Ms. Lien has spent the past 14 years as the Director of Instrumental Music at The Fenn School in Concord, MA, where she conducted a variety of bands, instructed general music, and instituted a small ensemble program. She has also served as saxophone and clarinet instructor at the All Newton Music School for the last fifteen years.

Katie Hickey -  Assistant to the Director of Strategic Communications
Ms. Hickey joins Xaverian as the first ever assistant to the director of strategic communications. She most recently served as the external marketing consultant and creative services manager at Screening for Mental Health, a non-profit organization in Wellesley. She brings a wealth of design, marketing, and writing experience to the position. You’ll see her work through various design projects, in the portal, via social media, in the magazines, and on the tv screens around campus.

Welcome Back, Mr. Bruckner!
After a one year leave of absence, Mr. Bruckner is back in the mathematics department at Xaverian Brothers High School. Mr. Bruckner began his Xaverian career in the 2006-2007 school year.
