Seven Seniors Named National Merit® Commended Students


Congratulations, Hawks!
 
Xaverian Brothers High School congratulates seven members of the Class of 2026 who received National Merit® Program Commendations for their high scores on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®). These students were among the top 50,000 highest scorers on the PSAT/NMSQT in the United States. The following students received Letters of Commendation in recognition of their outstanding academic promise:

  • Jacob Edgar (Hanover) 
  • Mark Ehrenzeller (Medfield) 
  • John Kazarov (Norwood) 
  • Daniel Parent (Waltham)
  • Cameron Peterson (Mansfield)
  • Namish Sapru (Norwood)
  • Rory Weston (Foxboro)

Speaking on their academic achievements, Dr. Michael Nicholson, Principal (Norfolk) notes, 
“We are proud to honor our Commended Students in the National Merit Scholarship Program. This recognition reflects their exceptional academic achievement and dedication to learning, and we celebrate the example they set for our school community.”

Over 1.3 million juniors in about 20,000 high schools entered the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®), which served as an initial screen of program entrants.
